Rangers Masters – Summer 2011-2012
An amazing job by the Masters League in getting all teams the full 12 rounds of the competition played with approx 15 modifications to draws due to the weather and an extension of the season by 2 weeks.
Rangers Masters team has again been successful, winning the Division 2 Masters competition. The Grand Final had Rangers playing Kings Langley. With a win each during the regular (anything but) season the game was going to be tight. It almost came unstuck in the last innings for Rangers as Kings Langley managed to grab a lead with some determined batting and a couple of little lapses in the field by Rangers. In the bottom of the last innings Rangers with 1 out, runners on 3rd and 2nd and Brad in the box. With 1 swing and a hard hit ball into the ground bouncing over the 3rd base fielder saw both runners cross the plate and seal the win.
A Big thank you to all our dedicated supporters making the trip out to Blacktown and also the regular die hard family members coming out to support the team.

Masters Winter – 2012
The Winter Masters competition kicks of the week starting 14th May 2012. Games are currently planned for Monday and Tuesday nights with a 7:00pm or 8:45pm start time. Depending on team numbers, there may be games played on Thursday nights as well. All games (at the moment) will be played at BISP.
Rangers have 1 full Masters team (Div 2) but are looking at running a 2nd team if there is enough interest and numbers wishing to participate. We would be expecting to play this team in the Division 4 competition. The ONLY requirement for a player to play in the Masters league is that they have reached that milestone age of 35 years by the date of the 1st game of the season. Skill levels vary and the format of the competition allows for up to 12 batters and fielders (9 on the field at any time). In recent seasons, our current team has run with 13-15 players allowing for work and other commitments. Rangers would not like to run any Masters team with less than 11 players based on what we have learned over the past 4 seasons.
PLEASE NOTE: The league only has a limited number of spots for teams. Last Summer competition was full. We believe that one or two teams will not play the winter competition however there may be other teams wishing to participate. If you are interested and we get the numbers, Rangers will be asking the League for the 2 team spots. If however the competition is full, unfortunately the new team will not be playing. I understand that there is talk of looking at other ground suitable to host Masters League games so that the league can be expanded but this is still on-going.
The Cost for the season (12 Rounds) is based on numbers in the team. approx $90 - $100 per Player (If you have not played since last Summer – 2011-12 and not playing winter there is an additional $77 cost NSWBL)
